Bruce Springsteen and the E band enthralls Milwaukee audience

Bruce Springsteen rocked and rolled along with the E Street band to give a breathtaking performance at the Bradley Center concert in Milwaukee couple of weeks ago. The energy level that this veteran rock n roll artist showed would have made the younger generation of artists envy and his enthusiasm to perform was evident from the six to seven songs that he performed at a single go.

Bruce Springsteen dressed in a black shirt with sleeves rolled up and in tight jeans with a guitar in his hand looked very much his older self and his riveting performance reverberated through the Bradley Center. The audiences sang and swayed to his yesteryear songs and were thrilled to bits to see him perform with so much of energy and enthusiasm even at this older age. The control of his voice right from the beginning of the concert to the end of it is the same and this 58 year old veteran rock n roll artist is still receiving rare reviews for his concert performances worldwide.

George Michael to go on a concert tour after 17 years

George Michael, one of the all time favorite American pop sensation, is all set to release a twin CD pack comprising of 29 songs of all his greatest hits in his musical career. The album titled as “Twenty Five” will hit the music stores on April 1st and has six new songs that include duets with Paul McCartney and Mary. J. Blige. Michael is also planning to release a compilation of 40 videos in a twin DVD pack sometime in the near future.

Michael is embarking on a tour of North America to promote his latest release and the concert tour will kick start with a show on June 17th in San Diego. Then he heads off to the East where he will be performing in about 20 places before winding off the concert tour in early August. Michael’s tours have always received good reviews from the masses as well as the classes and this one is sure to be one of his best concert tours.

“Pajama Party” heads to Van Andel Arena

The Disney Channel star Raven-Symone is all set to embark on “Pajama Party” tour that also makes a stop at Van Andel Arena on the 3rd of June. The “College Road Trip” star is making a musical trip that begins on the 26th of April in Orlando and finishes at Sacramento in California on the 13th of July. Her fellow Disney co-star and star performer in the Disney Channel’s super hit show “Hannah Montana”, Mitchel Musso will be opening the “Pajama Party” tour at the Van Andel Arena.
There will be a performance by B5 for the song “Get’cha Head in the Game” from the successful High School Musical soundtrack and the fans will also be able to see the performance of Clique Girlz. Raven-Symone is releasing a self titled album that is released by Hollywood Records and the tour spanning 55 places is in support of her new album. She says that the album covers all the messages that she wants to convey.

Kelly Clarkson to sing “Ave Maria” for Pope

The first ever American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, who is now one of the popular pop artists in the country, will be signing ‘Ave Maria’ to Pope Benedict XVI at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers on April 19th. Clarkson will also perform in a concert at the Yonkers seminary grounds that will lead up to the Vatican City Pope Benedict’s late afternoon address to the masses. An estimated number of 20,000 young people are said to be at the stadium grounds for the concert and to hear the Pope’s address. The pop superstar, Kelly Clarkson will render her song in true Catholic style and she knows all about it as she is a Catholic.

Kelly Clarkson who shot to fame in the year 2002 after becoming the first American Idol winner has so far released three CD’s and has sold approximately 19 million copies worldwide. Irish singer Dana, jazz artist Harry Connick Jr and guitar maestro Jose Feliciano are all slated to perform at the Yankees stadium the following day to an audience of over 60,000 before the Pope Benedict addresses them in a mass. Clarkson who will be on a tour of Europe is slated to perform at Belgium, Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Britain and Germany and will only return to the US days before making her Yonkers debut.

Aimee Mann all set to release her seventh album

Aimee Mann is a pumped up woman as she has just finished recording her seventh album “@#%&! Smilers” and the differently named album is all set for a release on June 3rd this year. Aimee said that the album will be coming out under the label of her own company, Super Ego Records. The album is produced by her close friend and associate Paul Bryan, who was responsible for bringing out her last album in 2006 “One More Drifter in the Snow”. Aimee Mann says that her fans will be hearing a totally different sound in this album.

Aimee says that the album has a lot of synthesizer sounds added to it and will sound similar to the car sounds a little bit. She says that she has attempted to make every song a different one by treating each song differently and it is up to her fans to listen to the songs and tell her how different it is. Mann also revealed that the entire album does not have an electric guitar sound in it and is an all keyboard situation album, which she feels will linger for long in the minds of her fans. Mann said that she will be coming up with a concert tour in a few weeks time to promote her new album.

José Gonzalez shook his audiences at New York

José Gonzalez hypnotized his audiences during his last performance at the Highline Ballroom in New York on March 11th. This quiet guitarist sat down and adjusted his strings to give “Deadweight on Velveteen” as the opening performance. This Swedish Song writer won the hearts of the audiences by playing mellow tunes. The quiet atmosphere of the auditorium was turned to frenzy by the time José Gonzalez reached his third song “Fold”. The background projection with attractive scenario added the visual treat. Audiences were completely shaken by his rendering of “Crosses”, a song from “Veneer”, his first album.

He had Yukimi Nagamo as his background Vocalist and Christopher Berg as his percussionist, whom he introduced to the audience in between the show. José Gonzalez also performed “In Our Nature”, “Killing For Love” and “Down the Line” from his second album. He surprised the audiences by performing the eight–minute long song “Cycling Trivialities”. The audiences clapped and danced for some of his songs and he cracked some jokes about the sleepy nature of the song “Teardrop”. José Gonzalez did a one hour show and covered 20 songs. The audiences were very satisfied with the quality and liveliness of the performance. The artist thanked the audiences and waved farewell before leaving the venue.

Alanis comes back with new album after four years

Alanis Morissette is preparing for the release of a new album on May 20th. The Album named “Flavors of Entanglement” is her original studio release after a gap of four years. Alanis has done many tours around the world with her own songs and has performed in many shows in collaboration with Dave Matthews, Ringo Starr and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan over the years. A parody made by her last year named “My Humps” was released in You Tube and was one among the top downloads of 2007. It is calculated that this particular video of Alanis has been viewed by more than 12 million viewers.

Alanis was also into acting in films, television as well as on stage during these years. She has given good performances in her roles on “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Sex and the City”, “Nip/Tuck” etc. In the film “Dogma”, she did the role of God and recently did a role in “Radio Free Albemuth” the film adaptation of Philip K Dick’s Novel. Morissette was touring with the group Matchbox Twenty and is planning for world tour in June. The world tour will start with performances in Europe followed by shows in North America during the fall this year.

Foo Fighters in a duel with Marvel comics

The Foo Fighters are really upset about the fact that the comic company, Marvel Comics, have taken couple of their songs for a TV advertisement without their permission. The Foo Fighters have decided to sue the comic company for copyright infringement and the songs that were used by the company are “Best of You” and “Free Me”. The Marvel Comics have been alleged of using these songs to promote their new animated series of X-Men and Wolverine and hence are suing the company according to Dave Grohl, the front man of the Foo Fighters band group.

The Foo Fighters have filed the case of copyright infringement at the Supreme Court in Los Angeles and have named the animated series producers, First Serve Toonz, First Serve International and Toonz Animation India as the culprits in the case. The Foo Fighters are claiming an astronomical sum that is kept under wraps as damage charges and attorney fees and are also seeking an injunction order from the Supreme Court to prevent the Marvel Comics Company from using the songs in future as well. The Foo Fighters were recently adjudged the Best International Band at the Brit Awards and are getting sell out crowds for their concerts.

Elton’s debut at Kitchener

Elton John the famous British Pop-singer was able to make his debut finally at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, much to the satisfaction of his fans. Elton john who is appreciated for his song writing ability and as pianist performed in this auditorium 40years after the release of his first musical album. Kitchener was one of the venue for his 2008 tour named “rocket man Tour” in Canada. His last Canadian tour was in 2006 and he performed at the Air Canada Centre. This year he wanted to get in to areas were he has never performed earlier.

Elton John was welcomed by huge Cheers in Kitchener and Elton said that it is great to perform in these parts as not many artists select these places and people in these areas also deserve some Entertainment. More than 6,000 tickets available for the concert were sold out within half an hour of sales. He opened the show with the song “Your Song” which was his break through song in 1970 and he got standing ovation from the crowd. He sang some famous songs like the “Greatest Discovery”, “Sixty Years On” and “I Need You to Turn to” etc. The show gave a glimpse of his talent and for the great voice he possesses, even though he has crossed 60 years.

Rihanna says No No to Umbrella for the U.K Concert

The hot and happening R & B singer, Rihanna, has asked the fans not to carry umbrellas for her U.K concerts. The Umbrella girl recently released a statement pleading her U.K fans not to carry umbrellas for the concerts as she was worried of their safety. Rihanna is a world famous icon after releasing her single Umbrella last year and this hot dancer will be performing for “Umbrella” on tour and is seen to be dancing with the umbrella for all her shows. She does not want her fans top copy her dance moves with the umbrella for the simple reason that she fears the fans might get injured while copying her dance moves.

Rihanna at her last concert in Aberdeen held on March 3rd asked the security guards to request her fans to leave all their umbrellas outside and enter the venue. The security guard said that, there is no normal practice of asking people to leave their umbrellas outside, but are doing so to avoid any untoward incident. They did not want anybody in the crowd to get their eyes poked and Rihanna does not want to have any such situations during her Umbrella concert tours in the UK.
