KISS to enthrall audiences at Sturgis.

The masked quartet band KISS will take a break from their current 35th anniversary concert tour in the month of August to perform at the Sturgis Rock’n the Rally, which is an annual three day outdoor festive event in the town. KISS will be performing on August 4th at Sturgis rally and the fans in the town are anxiously waiting to see their favorite band in action. The rockers have been touring since March to celebrate their 35th anniversary as a band group and have completed the New Zealand and Australian leg and are currently on the European leg of their world tour. Fans are queuing up the ticket counters to grab the tickets for the KISS’s performance in Sturgis. 

Paramore plans follow up to successful tour

As a result of highly outstanding ticket sales in the just-concluded Vans Warped Tour, indie rock band Paramore is set to send fans in a rocking frenzy with a final show. Touted to be the perfect ending to the recent tour and as a pre=quel to the upcoming European tour dates, “The Final Riot” was named after the band’s best selling studio album. Among notable acts expected to lend a hand at making the show a roaring success is Phantom Planet, Jack’s Mannequin and Paper Route. “Riot”, their latest album was commended for debuting at the 20th place on the Billboard Top 200.

Metallica astounds California music fest

The 16,000 odd hard rock and heavy metal fans were treated to a rock solid performance by Metallica at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine lat Saturday night. Metallica took center stage at the California music fest and treated the audience with sumptuous music for about 105 minutes and the menu included a list of their most popular 15 songs. The Metallica Band lived up to its high performance status all through the 105 minutes and fans at the concert were thrilled to bits to see the band perform live in front of them. “Creeping Death”, “Masters of Puppets”, “Fade to Black”, “Battery” and “Seek and Destroy” all got mass appreciation and good reviews from the fans.

Tina Turner returns to concert stage

Tina Turner, the 60 plus aged star, is returning to the world of concerts and her decision was met with overwhelming response from her fans. The ticket sale for the initial round of North American tour started on May 10th and the first concert in Kansas City was sold out within 2 minutes. The promoters have planned to add more shows to the tour. Tina, who retired from tours eight years ago, was forced to come back to the concert tours after this year’s Grammy Awards performance with Beyonce. During last fall, Tina Turner released a 95 minute DVD named “Celebrate: The Best of Tina Turner”.

Stevie Wonder hits the roads this summer

The 22 time Grammy Award winner Stevie Wonder, a performer often reviewed as a singer par excellence, is all set to undertake a concert tour across North America with more than a dozen shows lined up in the month of June and July. Stevie will be starting off his concert tour on June 18th in New York’s Wantagh and will be traversing the eastern coast of North America during the month of June. In July, he will travel along the Western coast for shows booked at Washington, British Columbia, Nevada, California and Colorado. His mother Lula Hardaway instigated Stevie Wonder’s return to the touring circuit again after a gap of 12 years and his next album will be a tribute to her.

Radiohead starts their US tour with a bang

The Radiohead kicked off their US concert tour on a promising note at the West Palm Beach in Florida last Monday. Radiohead performed much beyond the expectations of their hardcore fans and began with “All I Need” from their popular 2007 album “In Rainbows”. They performed roughly for a period of two hours and were able to squeeze in a set of 24 songs ranging from long time favorites to the latest ones during this concert. The audience were screaming and clapping in joy when Radiohead sang “Everything in its Right Place” and “Idioteque”. The tickets to the Palm Beach concert sold like hot cakes well in advance and a capacity crowd of over 19,000 thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Jack White’s Solid Rock performance

 Jack White and other members of Raconteurs gave an astonishing performance at the Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin. The two- night program was the main highlight of the city in the last weekend. The Saturday night show was a real success according to reviews, with the tickets sold out and with the presence of fans to the full capacity at the venue. The four constant members and the touring member Mark Watrous gave a satiating performance in front of the jam packed crowd.

 

 

They performed songs like” Consolers of The Lonely”, “Steady as She Goes”, “Rich Kid Blues”,  “Top Yourself,” etc. The performers were dressed in black and gave performances from their latest as well as early albums. The audience showed their satisfaction with screams and applauses. White gave inspiring music with his guitar when he was not singing.  The lyrics and the percussions created energizing vibrations among the crowd. The Raconteurs were triumphant in making their audience contented at the end of the concert.

China hopes to impress pope with concert

In a bit to improve ties with Vatican City, China represented the China Philharmonic Orchestra and asked the Vatican if they could perform for Pope Benedict. The Vatican saw this move as a way to renew their relationship and approved the concert but hoped that this will eventually lead to better things on the diplomatic horizon. The concert will be held on the coming Wednesday night, the official sources from the Vatican have reminded all parties that drastic improvements will not be implemented overnight. They also expressed their understanding about the situation.

The concert will boast of a top notch performance from the China Philharmonic Orchestra which is now on its ongoing European tour. They are expected to play Mozart’s “Requiem” as well as Chinese folk songs in the spacious audience hall in Vatican City.

Kid Rock to undertake summer tour of Canada

The Detroit rocker Kid Rock is planning to enthrall his fans in Canada by embarking on a summer concert tour during the early part of July. The Detroit rapper is currently engaged on the tour of the US which will end by the fag end of May. Apart from performing in Canada, Kid Rock will also be performing in a two night stand in his hometown’s DTE Energy Music Center. Kid Rock will also be enthralling the European fans in the month of June as he will be touring to all major locations in Europe in June.

 

Kid Rock, a musician who has received good reviews and applauses from all quarters, is promoting his October release album “Rock N Roll Jesus” through this massive road trip that started in January. The “Rock N Roll Revival Tour” has gathered attention in all the centers in which it was showcased and it is hoped that it will be a run away hit in Canada as well.
