The Flying Dutchmen is one of the new London opera productions. Bryn Terfel is back in the lead role. Apparently he had trouble with the role of Wotan in Wagner two years ago, but now he’s back and better than ever. The actors are able to project great strength and emotion during the show, and are able to give the characters exactly what they need. The design of the show is also very good and will give you just the right feel for the style of the play. If you don’t like opera, this may be the show for you. Yes, it’s kind of hard when there’s a show that’s as involved in this one, and this one can seem very long. But it’s opera done very well, which is sometimes hard to find!
