Kylie Minogue is still performing all over the country right now, starting in the Hollywood Bowl and going to all kinds of other places. She has become one of the best performers that we can imagine in the world, but it’s never clear whether she’s going to catch on in the US anytime soon. Her music is fun and gets some people hopping. But a lot of people just don’t get it. Perhaps it’s because she sings songs that aren’t quite so familiar here or because she’s not been able to sell as much, but for some reason people still think she’s weird and foreign, even after all of the things that we’ve heard over the years. Anyway, her tour is doing fine and the music is well-performed. She’s doing what she can, but I don’t think it’s going to catch the same way some people do.
