Jon Bon Jovi cancels rehearsals over shooting drama in Illinois

Jon Bon Jovi is on a latest tour of the United States and had kick started the tour in Ohama, Nebraska on the 18th of February 2008. But the fact is that they did not get time to have a full production rehearsal for the program due to a school shoot out drama during Valentine’s Day in the Northern Illinois University. Bon Jovi and his rock band had to scrap the rehearsal sessions that they had planned to have during the Valentine’s Day weekend after hearing off the shoot out news in Dekalb, Illinois.

A former student Steve Kazmeirczak of the Northern Illinois University was on a shooting spree and had shot down five people and wounded a dozen others before shooting himself down. As soon as Bon Jovi landed in Dekalb, he was informed of the incident that has made the entire city come to a standstill. Bon Jovi was advised to catch the plane and return back home due to the grave situation there, but the stage as well as crew was already there at the contracted practice venue in the University’s Convocation Center. Bon Jovi did not find it right to practice in such a situation and had to pack all their belongings and head towards Nebraska for their concert.

Poor Ticket Sales for Bon Jovi Band

Bon Jovi opened the new Prudential Center in Newark Thursday night, on October 25, in what was the first of a ten-show residency. However, according to reports the artist’s ticket sales are unexpectedly low. Despite the slow sales, the concerts in New Jersey still sold enough to place the group among Top 10 concerts and events this week. Shows in more than ten countries have already been confirmed including the United States, England, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Scotland, and Austria.
