$300,000 Raised at Charity Concert

The popular singer Tim McGraw helped raise over $300,000 for brain tumor research during the Tug McGraw Foundation’s 3rd annual fundraising concert in St. Louis. The artist and his band, the Dancehall Doctors, performed to several hundred people during the Friday night show that also featured Lori McKenna, Lance Miller, Faith Hill, and Halfway to Hazard. In related news, a group of runners calling themselves Team McGraw raised over $200,000 by taking part in the New York Marathon that took place Sunday.

Rihanna Demands Police Escort For Concert

The 19-year-old pop star Rihanna has demanded the services of a police escort in order to help her beat traffic on her way to a show in Ireland. The performer reportedly made the request for the Irish Garda after she remembered the large levels of congestion on her last trip to the Irish capital. According to The Sun, Rihanna made it clear that a police escort was an obligatory condition to her playing the show.

Poor Ticket Sales for Bon Jovi Band

Bon Jovi opened the new Prudential Center in Newark Thursday night, on October 25, in what was the first of a ten-show residency. However, according to reports the artist’s ticket sales are unexpectedly low. Despite the slow sales, the concerts in New Jersey still sold enough to place the group among Top 10 concerts and events this week. Shows in more than ten countries have already been confirmed including the United States, England, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Scotland, and Austria.
