Kiss To Sue Promoter Over Cancelled Concert

KIss gigRepresentatives of the band have filed a lawsuit against Big Mountain Concert Co., Canadian concert promoter. Kiss claim claims that the promoters breached a contract with the band. The lawsuit was filed on December 6. It is centered on a cancelled Kiss gig, which was due to take place on September 15. The show was cancelled within days of the event because of what the promoters described at the time as “logistical reasons.” The band is seeking $900,000 over the cancellation, which Kiss say caused “injury to their respective reputations.”

Charity Concert

Have you ever heard about Carol Aid? Ainon Baptist Church on Elias Road, Bryncoch, has decided to put on a community carol concert with the intention to raise money for charity. The show will take place on Friday, Dec. 7 from 6.30-8pm. There will be a special collection on the night, and all the proceeds will go to local charities. Everyone is welcome at the community event.

I found out recently that the Atlantic Records had announced about the upcoming release of P.S. I Love You - Music From The Motion Picture, which is the original motion picture soundtrack to the Warner Bros. Pictures/Alcon Entertainment romantic comedy/drama. The album will be available for sale on December 4th, and features tracks from a raw of eminent pop singers and artists, including James Blunt, Paolo Nutini, and the one-and-only Pogues.

Taylor still has a friend in King. They both were a match made in ‘69 at Hollywood’s famed Troubadour nightclub. Last afternoon, they were rehearsing for a series of benefit shows that coincide with the club’s fiftieth anniversary. He reached the top of the Billboard pop chart in ‘71 with the composition “You’ve Got a Friend,” that was written by Carole King, who performed the song on her Grammy-winning “Tapestry” record. James Taylor and Carole King had worked together in NYC, but their ‘69 Troubadour debuts were significant.

Winehouse Cancels Remaining 2007 Shows

AmyThe rising star Amy Winehouse has cancelled all her previously scheduled shows and other public appearances for the remainder of the year. The artist changed her mind on the advice of her doctor, who ordered Winehouse to take complete rest. All of Amy’s upcoming European concerts have been called off, with ticket refunds being offered to her fans. The performer’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was arrested in the United Kingdom earlier this month and charged with one count of “attempting to pervert” the obstruction of justice.

Despite a notice of cancellation on the band’s own Web site, The Spice Girls insist they didn’t shelve any plans to perform in Buenos Aires as part of their reunion world tour. They made it clear that they had not canceled their show in Argentina. This story appeared on several websites that included a fake e-mail and competition from the band. The e-mail claimed that due to the demand so far in the United Kingdom and the United States the show was going to be canceled

Kylie Minogue’s Concert Collapse

KylieA documentary film about the performer’s battle with breast cancer has gone to air in Britain. This documentary shows dramatic footage of the singer’s collapse during a concert in Manchester. Footage from the performance is showing a distressed Kylie trying desperately not to cry as she is walking the stage trying to make it through another song. At the time of the collapse, the artist didn’t know she had breast cancer. She was very distressed about feeling so unwell.
