50 Cent thinks that record labels should move with the times. To his mind, this file sharing isn’t a bad thing for artists and it certainly doesn’t do them any harm. According to 50 Cent, the labels should manage “the 360 degrees around an artist”. Labels is a kind of the only way to get their marketing money back, 50 Cent adds.

Representatives of the band have filed a lawsuit against Big Mountain Concert Co., Canadian concert promoter. Kiss claim claims that the promoters breached a contract with the band. The lawsuit was filed on December 6. It is centered on a cancelled Kiss gig, which was due to take place on September 15. The show was cancelled within days of the event because of what the promoters described at the time as “logistical reasons.” The band is seeking $900,000 over the cancellation, which Kiss say caused “injury to their respective reputations.”

I found out recently that the Atlantic Records had announced about the upcoming release of P.S. I Love You - Music From The Motion Picture, which is the original motion picture soundtrack to the Warner Bros. Pictures/Alcon Entertainment romantic comedy/drama. The album will be available for sale on December 4th, and features tracks from a raw of eminent pop singers and artists, including James Blunt, Paolo Nutini, and the one-and-only Pogues.

Dirty Pretty Things have cancelled their supporting concert with The Pogues to be able to concentrate on working on their new album in America instead. The concert ought to have taken place in Nottingham on December 14 but the band was forced to drop it out because they were too much involved in their recording sessions in Los Angeles.
